New Moon in Gemini ⋆ 6.6.24
Thursday morning at 8:38 (EDT) the Sun and Moon meet at 16 degrees of Gemini and form a New Moon. They are joined by Venus, also at 16 degrees of Gemini. Mercury is also in Gemini at 6 degrees and Jupiter just moved into Gemini last week where it will stay through 2025. So there is a lot of Gemini energy prevailing right now.
Gemini is the mutable air sign. It processes life through information, which is used to connect with others. Gemini is a social sign. It loves interacting with a variety of people about a variety of topics. Gemini energy is curious, preferring to know a little about a lot of different topics so there is always something to talk about. For Gemini, information is currency. A thorough or deep understanding of the whys and wherefores isn't the driver. Gemini is more interested in the whats and the hows. Learning and sharing what is learned is the way Gemini builds relationships.
Venus is adding graciousness to the connections forged by the Sun and Moon. She is also integrating values into conversations and connections. The Full Moon in Sagittarius in May revealed how your beliefs affected your conversations and connections. With this New Moon, you have the opportunity to aligned with your values while still making connections. Notice how you react to certain people. Do you shut people down when you disagree with them? Not everything needs to be debated. Gemini energy is curious; consider withholding your judgement and instead, assume there is some common ground to be discovered and explored. Then seek it.
Saturn at 18 degrees Pisces is squaring the Sun/Moon/Venus conjunction. Saturn can often show up as the critic. It will point out where you miss the mark, can make you feel as if everything you do is not quite good enough. It brings in some harsh realities. Here, notice your words and their power. Does your inner voice build you up or notice all the mistakes? Can you soften it, become the coach instead of the critic? This will foster the connection and collaboration that is inherent in Gemini energy. Additionally, Saturn will show you where you need to be more judicious in what you share and to whom. Oversharing or inappropriate sharing in an attempt to force a relationship will show up with this placement. Saturn fosters maturity and discretion.
As Jupiter begins its year long transit through Gemini, its expansive energy will move from the grounded, earthy, materially focused Taurus to the more malleable and flexible Gemini.
