Current Energies
Here we talk about New Moons, Full Moons, eclipses, retrogrades and other shifts in planetary energies that influence each of us.
Solar Eclipse in Aquarius 2*17*26
On Tuesday the Sun and Moon meet up at 28 degrees 50 minutes of Aquarius. I talked about the implications of this degree in the last post. Aquarius is the fixed air sign. It is a future focused sign, unconventional and innovative. Aquarius refuses to behave according to the traditional rules and in fact loves to rebel against. Anything that feels too restrictive is unacceptable for Aquarius energy. As an air sign, its focus is on a vision for a world in which humanity as an entity thrives. Aquarius understands the power of groups.
Under this eclipse, it's time to review your friendships and groups/communities you belong to...Because this is a North Node eclipse, the emphasis is on leaving old patterns and moving towards new, more authentic ways of showing up in your life.
Solar Eclipse in Virgo 9*21*25
Sunday we have the Solar Eclipse at the last degree of Virgo. In astrology, the last degree of any sign is called the "anaretic" degree. It is the degree right before the planet or heavenly body moves into the next sign. It signifies endings and completions which can come with a sense of urgency or pressure to act. This Solar Eclipse has the Sun and Moon at 29 degrees of Virgo, the mutable earth sign. Virgo is concerned with being of service but it does so in practical (earth) ways. Virgo energy looks at routines, daily to do's and responsibilities with a critical eye for detail. It analyzes processes and sees where things could be more efficiently done. Virgo hates waste and disorganization. Its ultimate purpose is to free up time and energy that is currently being expended taking care of things in inefficient ways. Balanced Virgo energy is great at reengineering practices and processes so they flow better.
Solar Eclipse in Aries 3*29*25
Saturday morning's Solar Eclipse in Aries is the 6th and final eclipse along the Aries-Libra axis that began in April, 2023. This axis deals with self (Aries) and how that self interact with others in close relationships (Libra). These eclipses have brought opportunities to explore our individuality and how we expressed it. We also had the chance to delve into how we share ourselves with important others and what our close relationships mirror to us about ourselves.
Solar eclipses are powerful New Moons. They signify a time of new beginnings, ripe for setting intentions and making decisions about the next part of the cycle.
